The computational domain
The computational domain encompasses everything modeled by FDTD++. Conceptually, this can be divided into two regions, the exterior computational domain, consisting of the total computational region and boundary conditions, and the interior computational domain, consisting of the structure(s) to be modeled the surrounding material(s). Once the computational domain has been defined, a key aspect of the finite-difference time-domain method is its discretization. These concepts are discussed in this section.
